Theron's fourth month

Our first outing in September was to Three Oaks (Carol and Frank Gruen's ranch) for Labor Day weekend.  By this time, we realized that we needed to travel at night, leaving at his normal bedtime, so that he could sleep in the car.  This realization came after our 8 1/2 hour trip home from Rockport that should have taken 7 hours.  Needless to say, no one needs to be in the car during the day for 8 1/2 hours (whether we stopped five times or not), especially not a 3 month old!!  Lesson learned.  He is a great traveler now! ;)

Theron was FINALLY able to meet his great aunts, Carol Gruen and Alice Mueller (as well as a lot of the Mueller and Gruen clan).  They were eagerly waiting to hold and love on Theron.  We are so incredibly blessed with such a big, loving family!!

For part of this month, he was waking up twice a night and then he started sleeping from about 8 pm to 6:30 or 7 am, but he was still in his swing.  We seriously didn't want to mess with his sleeping pattern!!

He was giggling and squealing constantly, grabbing things and trying to put everything in his mouth!  He also learned to roll from his tummy to his back and got a lot more comfortable playing on his activity mat with toys.

As you can see from the rolls on his legs, he was gaining a lot of good weight.  At his four month check up, he was 27 inches (97th percentile) and 16 lbs. 6 oz. (75th percentile).  We are so proud of him!

Playing with the mobile on his bassinet

His beautiful, full head of hair that he was born with all fell out, except for this little strip in the back!  Hilarious!

Here are some photos from our Labor Day trip

My mom, sister and nephews came to visit again in September and we had a great time.  I hate that we live so far away and everyone has to drive so far to see each other.  But, at least it's just a drive or short plane trip from most of my family.  And at least we like each other!  I guess it could be worse!

I am just amazed every day at how he is discovering and learning so many new things and at how fast he is growing!  Slow down, buddy!

This is when I noticed that he looks like me when he smiles...he even has a dimple like me  :)

He looks more like Blake here
