This is another new thing he learned to do this month...pursing his lips and blowing bubbles and then making a smacking noise with his lips. He is so serious when he does it, it cracks us up!
Woah nelly!
I still miss him during the day and I rotate my computer desktop background to a new picture of him every week so that I can always have a current picture of him to look at. When I really miss him, I scroll through the hundreds of photos on my iPhone! Not all at once, I swear I do work all day!!

He continued sleeping through the night, but he was back in his nap nanny...not the crib. He had grown out of the swing and by the time we moved him back to the nap nanny, the swing would creak when we turned it on. Ha! He mostly slept in the swing without it being turned on, but he was definitely outgrowing it. The transition from swing to nap nanny was fine, but he still wanted nothing to do with his crib and he never slept a minute in either of the bassinets that we borrowed. We were just glad that he was out of the swing and we knew he would transition to the crib (one way or another) eventually.
This month - at the beginning when he was in the swing and then when he was in the nap nanny as well - he started fighting his naps. He would be exhausted, but we struggled to get him to go to sleep during the day. We had to start letting him do some crying at nap time, but he has gotten somewhat better about it. Sometimes he goes down with no resistance and sometimes it takes us an hour to get him to fall asleep.
His hair has started to grow back in and it is still strawberry blonde. He still has blue eyes. We still think they are going to change just because Blake and I don't have blue eyes and they are not that common in our families, but they could take another six months to change or possibly longer. It is very strange to not know what his eye color is going to be and to think that they might just be different one day when he wakes up...although I am not sure the change would happen that fast.
Theron started rice cereal this month and wasn't too sure about it at first. He would attack it, but all he really wanted to do was grab the spoon and chew on it. It was a two-person job when we used the bumbo - one to hold him upright and shake a rattle so he would look up and not get distracted by smearing the cereal all over the bumbo and another to avoid his hands that were trying to grab the cereal off the spoon and actually get the cereal in his mouth. He got better and better at it as the month went by.
Blake's parents came up again from Victoria. They drive so much, it is insane! But they got to spend more time with him and they brought him the cutest Halloween presents! One of his favorite toys now is one that they gave him...a bumble bee with a rounded bottom so it rolls around and it lights up and talks when he hits it (which he LOVES to do) and it has rings that go back and forth across these arches on the top. It is the perfect present for him right now because he loves to hit and grab the rings and spin them around.
Our friend Ryan also came to visit and stayed the weekend with us.
Hello there!
Ryan bought him this rockin' shirt! And he's showing his tough side by sticking out his tongue for the camera!
Theron "celebrated" his first Halloween this month! We bought him a bear costume and I was very surprised that he wore it and didn't fuss or try to pull it off. We thought the costume fit the nickname we have for him - "Ther Bear." We didn't go anywhere, but all the kids at daycare dressed up and we put Theron in his costume for the morning at school.
